I am a doctoral researcher and AI governance specialist with over 15 years of experience in instructional design, faculty training, and technology integration in education. My research explores the ethical and policy implications of AI adoption in higher education, particularly in developing regions like East Africa.
My work focuses on AI governance, ethical AI integration in education, and technology-enhanced learning in East Africa and beyond. I am passionate about exploring how AI can be harnessed responsibly to transform education while ensuring fairness, accessibility, and inclusivity.
Through my research, policy advocacy, and instructional design expertise, I aim to shape AI governance frameworks that prioritize equity, transparency, and social impact
My graduate degree is in Instructional Design & Technology and as an undergrad, I studied Business Studies with education and a post-graduate diploma in Information and Communication Technology(ICT).
I am currently working with IUP Center for teaching excellence (CTE), offering instructional design support to faculty and best practices for online teaching. We offer D2L and Zoom workshops and consultation (both in-person and via Zoom) opportunities for faculty and teaching associates. In addition, we provide constructive and developmental mechanisms for nurturing the excellence in teaching which already exists at IUP.
Nevertheless, I am also social entrepreneur and businessman especially in Africa where I implement projects like Women empowerment through low interest or no interest loans to support their business growth, this is based on the fact that I am a certified Finacial Expert.
I also do business in various sectors like education, real-estate, Imports and Exports.
